WEEKLY PRAYERS

Day 1 (JOY): Jesus, be my strength and my shield today as I put all of my trust and hope in you. I trust you Jesus with every situation - with what is simple and what is hard. And as I give it all to you, will you fill me with your JOY. [Psalms 28:7)
Day 2 (LOVE): Jesus, help me to be more like you - to love justice and to hate evil. I want to love what you love. Help me to live a life according to your will and not my own. Pour out your Spirit in me and renew me with your LOVE. [Psalms 45:7; Romans 12:9]
Day 3 (HOPE): Jesus, today I place my hope in you - with the diagnosis, with my finances, and with my family. Will you bring peace and rest in my life in times of needing hope. You are my rock and I will not be shaken. My HOPE comes from you. [Psalms 62: 5, 6]
Day 4 (FREEDOM): Jesus, help me to live my life according to your word. Help me to see that by not following you I am kept bound. Help me to release what is in my hands and surrender it all to you. There is FREEDOM found in surrender. [Psalms 119: 44, 45; Romans 8:2)
Day 5 (HEALING): Jesus, you are the God who heals all of our diseases. I bring my afflictions to you today, the impossible things. You have the power to forgive, heal, and redeem. I praise you for the good things that you do for me. There is HEALING in your name. [Psalms 103: 1-4]
Day 6 (DELIVERANCE): Jesus, I have trouble all around me and my thoughts are filled with anxiety and fear. When I wake up and when I lay back down, they are there. Help me to look to you, my strong tower, my deliverer, and my place of refuge. Drive out all fear with your perfect love. I am safe under the covering of your wing. There is DELIVERANCE found in you. [Psalms 34:4; Psalms 34: 19; 2 Samuel 22: 2, 3; 1 John 4:18; Psalms 91:4]
Day 7 (MIRACLES): Jesus, purify my heart and wash me clean. Will you burn away everything that is not of you. Remove both the speck and the plank. I want a holy fire to burn inside of me. I want repentance to be something I run towards and not against. Let repentance not be far from my lips. I want to be a living testimony of your MIRACLE work in me. [Psalms 51: 10-12; Matthew 7: 3-5]
-
Day 8 (JOY): Jesus, there is so much joy in following you and seeing the work of your hands in my life. I try to recount all of the blessings that you have given me and there are too many to count. You have anointed my head with oil and my cup overflows with gladness. Even when I have walked through the darkest valleys you were there. You never leave me or forsake me and for that I have JOY. [John 15:11; Galatians 5:22; Psalms 23:4, 5; Deuteronomy 31: 8]
Day 9 (LOVE): Jesus, I want to draw closer to you, in this day and in every day. I want to seek your face. Show me the altars that I have built up that have come between me and you. Help me to tear down the altars so that I can be close to you. I am moved by your great LOVE, because you loved me first. [Deuteronomy 12: 2-3; Isaiah 57: 14; 1 John 4:19]
Day 10 (HOPE): Jesus, help me to set my face like flint, a firm resolve, to continue in faith and hope no matter what challenges lie ahead. You have been so faithful to me. I want to be faithful to you in prayer and reading your word. Your word can always be trusted and it will last forever. My HOPE is found in you. [Isaiah 50:7; Proverbs 30:5; Isaiah 40:8]
Day 11 (FREEDOM): Jesus, burden me with what burdens you. I want to be moved by what moves you. I want to pray your heart desires. I have let the burdens of this world weigh me down. But your yoke is easy and your burden is light. You are more than able to carry the weight. And as you lift these heavy burdens will you align my prayers with your will. There is FREEDOM found in seeking you. [Acts 13:22; Romans 8: 26, 27; Matthew 11:28-30; 1 Peter 5:7]
Day 12 (HEALING): Jesus, you are so personal. Even at the start of creation you were there. You breathed life into me. You are not a surface level God. Your wounds go deep, they go deep for me. You gave up your life so that I could live in eternity with you. Help me to go deeper and not stop short of knowing you. I want more of you. You bring HEALING to my life. [John 1:1-3; John 20:22; Isaiah 53:5; John 3:16]
Day 13 (DELIVERANCE): Jesus, I run after things that do not satisfy. I want to hunger and thirst for you, for righteousness. I want to always drink from the well that never runs dry. As I seek you will you DELIVER me from my earthly desires so that I seek first the kingdom of God. [Matthew 5:6; Psalms 63:1; John 4:13, 14; Matthew 6:33]
Day 14 (MIRACLES): Jesus, teach me how to walk in step with you. To hold your hand and allow you to lead me and guide me within each day. To not run ahead or fall behind. To be so close to you that I can hear your voice, the whispering of your Spirit. To walk with you even when it rains. Everything I need and anything | lack is found in you. There are MIRACLES that happen where you are. [Galatians 5: 25; 1 Kings 19: 11-13; Philippians 4:19]
-
Day 15 (JOY): Jesus, my life feels busy and is filled with many things. Remove the clutter. Remove the dross. Remove the excess. Help me to empty myself to be filled with your Spirit. I want to be a life that is poured out and made available to serve you. A fragrant offering. Here I am, send me. There is so much JOY that comes from serving you. [Hebrews 12: 1-2; Proverbs 25:4; Philippians 2: 5-8; Ephesians 5:2; Isaiah 6:8]
Day 16 (LOVE): Jesus, you seek to save the lost and you love without condition or hesitation. You light the lamp and sweep the house looking for the lost coin. Help me to actively love people the way you love, to be moved with compassion, for your LOVE is great and higher than the heavens. [Luke 15:8; Psalms 108:4]
Day 17 (HOPE): Jesus, you bring hope where all I see is hopelessness. You come in during the fourth watch, the fourth quarter, when all time is running out - you make a way. You provide streams in the desert, you open the prison doors, and you bring the rain. Help me to remember all of the great things that you have done and the things I have seen in my life. Al HOPE is found in you. [Mark 6: 48-51; Isaiah 43:19; Acts 16:26; 1 Kings 18: 41-46]
Day 18 (FREEDOM): Jesus, show me how to live my life free of complaint, criticism, or offense. I want to be free of what holds me down and gets in the way of you. When I am misunderstood, will you remind me that you are near, that you know my every thought, and that you formed my inmost being. You have torn the veil by your death on the cross so that I could come boldly to the throne of grace. Help me to forgive as you have forgiven me. There is FREEDOM in your forgiveness. [John 2: 24, 25; Psalms 139: 13; Matthew 27: 50-51; Hebrews 4:16; Ephesians 4:32]
Day 19 (HEALING): Jesus, I want to read and mediate on your word, day and night. I want to be watered by your word. I want your word to be my primary language and not a foreign language. Let your word run deep in me. I stand firm in your truth today. And when your word is spoken, healing follows. Bring HEALING to my life today. [Joshua 1:7, 8; Psalms 119: 15, 16; Ephesians 5:26]
Day 20 (DELIVERANCE): Jesus, there are people in our world who need deliverance. The oppressed, the homeless, and the trafficked. Help them to see that you are not far from them and that you are with them in their pain. Your arm is not too short to save. You are mighty to save, to rescue, and to draw them out of deep waters. You are our DELIVERER. [Acts 17:27; Isaiah 59:1; Isaiah 63:1; Psalms 18:16]
Day 21 (MIRACLES): Jesus, I have put borders and boxes around my life. I have worked within the limits that I have set. Will you remind me that there is so much more with you. Your ways are not my ways. Your thoughts for my life are higher and greater than I can imagine. And I can trust you with all things. I want to live with the knowing that MIRACLES happen because all things are possible with you. [Isaiah 55: 8, 9; Matthew 19:26]
